Australian Test star Mark Waugh will be questioned by
the International Cricket Council on Saturday over an Indian bookmaker's allegations that he was paid $20,000.
The Australian Cricket Board announced that its special investigator Greg Melick and representatives of the ICC's anti-corruption unit would interview the player in Melbourne.
The allegations made by bookie MK Gupta were contained in an Indian police report and the meeting will come the day after the second match in the best-of-three tri-nations one-day finals between Australia and the West Indies at the MCG.
The interview was agreed with Waugh's legal representatives after they rejected the ACB's request for a meeting in Sydney today, claiming it would interfere with his preparation for the opening finals match at the SCG tomorrow.
