Gardai are today investigating a late night brawl between members of the Travelling community at a Co Wicklow hotel.
The row broke out between 20 to 30 Travellers who were attending a wedding reception at the four-star Tinakilly Country House Hotel in Rathnew at about 11pm, during which a number of people were armed.
The Gardai have so far recovered machetes, pick axes, slash-hooks, hatches, wheelbraces and knives, and are investigating rumours that a sawn-off shot-gun and pistol were also produced during the row.
It is not known what caused the row as those involved left the scene after gardai from Wicklow and Wexford arrived.
A Garda spokesman told ireland.comno arrests had been made yet, but he said: "We know at this stage who were involved. We are building our case".
