An Internet company that wants to show next month's execution of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh on the Web said today it will seek to appeal a judge's denial of its request.

"It is our intention to appeal [the] decision and we will do so if there is any possibility that we can get a fair hearing before the scheduled May 16th execution," said David Marshlack, chief executive of Entertainment Network, a Tampa-based firm that operates voyeuristic websites.

On Wednesday Judge John Tinder of the US district court ruled against the company's request that the Justice Department allow a video camera inside the execution chamber at the federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, or allow the company to tap into the closed circuit feed of the execution.

The feed will be transmitted back to Oklahoma City for survivors and families of the 186 victims.
