This weekend's smorgasbord of sport kicks off with Ireland's crunch game against France tonight in the rugby World Cup.
The match kicks off at Stade de France at 8pm Irish time, but despite a mass exodus for rugby fans, there have been no significant delays reported at Dublin airport.
For those unlucky enough not to be in Paris for tonight's match, there is plenty of rugby taking place over the weekend as the Magners League season begins.
Connacht take on the Dragons at the Sportsground in Galway, with kick-off at 6pm tonight, and Ulster play the Ospreys at Ravenhill this evening at 6.30pm. Tomorrow sees Leinster face Edinburgh at the RDS, and Munster against Llanelli at Musgrave Park in Cork. Kick-off for those matches is 5.30pm.
The women will be out in force on Sunday at Croke Park for women's football finals day. The junior final sees Kilkenny and London battling it out from 12pm, and the intermediate football final takes place afterward, with Wexford versus Leitrim at 2pm.
But the big attraction for the day will be the clash between Mayo and Cork in the Senior All Ireland Ladies Football Final, which kicks off at 4pm.
Tomorrow will see the running of the Adidas Dublin Half-Marathon in the Phoenix Park, starting at 10am. There will be some local gate and road closures.
Dublin sees the final three days of its Fringe Festival this weekend, while Waterford is only just getting into a week of alternative culture. The Waterford Fringe Festival began last night and continues until next weekend.
Car Free Day also takes place tomorrow in Dublin, Cork and Waterford. In Dublin Parnell Square East, Merrion Square West, and the main road through Herbert Park in Donnybrook will be closed to vehicles from 7am to 6pm.
The closed roads will be used to host family events, including skateboarding, bouncy castles and BMX demonstrations.
In Cork, access to St Patrick's Street between the junction of Merchants Quay and the Daunt's Square/Half Moon Street junction will be open to taxis and buses only between 11am and 5pm.
In Dublin, the Navan Road is closed in both directions after a serious crash. Traffic is being diverted through the Pheonix Park and onto Blackhorse Avenue, and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
