Traffic out of Dublin on the Naas road should benefit this weekend from the opening of a third lane between Newlands Cross and Saggart. Two new toll lanes opened at the Westlink Toll Bridge will also alleviate traffic flow.

There will be single-lane traffic on the eastbound carriageway of the Athlone bypass with temporary diversions at interchanges for the next six months. Motorists are asked to drive with extreme care.

Wexford bridge is closed for seven weeks for essential repair work. In Clare, the Limerick/Tulla road is closed between Sixmilebridge and Cratloe Cross for drainage until the end of October.

Work will be ongoing for the next 18 months on the Donegal bypass, with heavy machinery crossing the N1 about one kilometre north of Donegal town and temporary lights for the next two months.

Gracepark Road in Drumcondra, Dublin, is closed this weekend. Drivers should travel via Fairview Strand into Philipsburgh Avenue on Griffith Avenue instead.

In Clonsilla, the Porterstown Road is closed until October 25th for pipe-laying but motorists can travel via Clonsilla Road, Coolmine Road, Carpenterstown Road and Luttrellstown Road.

The Old Naas Road from Main Street, Rathcoole, to Beechwood Lawns is closed temporarily to allow construction of the Saggart-Rathcoole Interchange and motorists are advised to exercise caution at Beaver Row, which has reopened although road works are still in place.

A one-way system remains in place on Leopardstown Road and traffic flow is westbound only from White's Cross to Brewery Road Roundabout. Eastbound traffic should divert via Brewery Road and the N11. In Cork, Maylor and Caroline streets will remain closed until the end of October for pavement works and service renewals.

Due to essential engineering works between Dun Laoghaire and Bray, DART services between those stations will be severely disrupted on Sunday between 9 a.m. and noon.
