Upper Kilmacud Road is one way between Sweetbriar Lane and Marsham Court for the construction of cycle tracks. Traffic from Stillorgan to Dundrum is not affected but the road is closed to eastbound traffic from Dundrum. There is no access to Stillorgan or Sandyford Industrial Estate from Upper Kilmacud Road.

Coliemore Road in Dalkey is closed at the Dalkey Island Hotel for pipe-laying work. A detour is fully signposted.

Telecom work is going on at Dundrum Main Street near the entrance to the shopping centre.

Shancastle Road in Clondalkin is closed from its junction with the Fonthill Road to its junction with Shancastle Avenue.

The Belgard Road is closed in Tallaght from the southern side of its junction with Belgard Square Way to the northern side of its junction with Blessington Road.

Cork

For the next six months, outbound traffic from Cork city to Rochestown, Carrigaline and Ringaskiddy is restricted to a single lane from Douglas Bridge to Rochestown sliproad.

Adelaide Street is closed to vehicles until June 19th. Access to North Main Street is from North Gate Bridge. Galway Roadworks may cause delays on the Headford Road near Quinnsworth. Kildare Shaw Bridge in Kilcock is closed to heavy commercial vehicles until the end of August. There is an alternative route via Maynooth/ Barberstown Cross for those travelling via Kilcock to Clane or Naas. Leitrim Delays can be expected on the N16 Sligo to Enniskillen Road about four miles west of Manorhamilton. Limerick Motorists are advised to drive with care at Hassetts Cross where roadworks are taking place. The road surface is poor, with lots of potholes. There is no through road from Athlunkard Street to Baal's Bridge via Sir Harry's Mall. Access to Sir Harry's Mall from Athlunkard Street is limited to business and residential traffic only. Mayo The N59 at Burrishoole Bridge is closed between Newport and Mulraney for the next three months. Meath The Kilmoone to Drogheda Road is closed at Duleek but a detour is in place via the N2 to Curtis Cross and down the R150 into Duleek and on to Drogheda. Roscommon Traffic on the N4 Dublin to Sligo Road is diverted on to the new road over the Curlew Mountain. Waterford A new traffic flow system has been introduced at Rice Bridge to ease inbound traffic. There is single-lane traffic on Williamstown Road between Farran Park and St Catherine's Grange.

Bus Eireann's 1998 national timetable comes into operation on Sunday. The major change is the introduction of an hourly Expressway service on the Dublin-Galway route, offering 13 daily departures in each direction.
