Dublin:
There is a diversion on the N1 a mile south of the Mosney junction. Single-lane traffic on Deansgrange Road, Killiney Hill Road, Kilgobbin Road, Stepaside, and on the Dundrum Road from Bird Avenue to Taney Road.
Cork: There are roadworks on the N27 at the turn-off for Lombardstown. Single-lane traffic outbound to Rochestown, Carrigaline and Ringaskiddy from Douglas Bridge to Rochestown sliproad.
Galway: Roadworks on the Headford Road and on the Ballymoneen Road adjacent to Gort Rua housing estate.
Limerick: Traffic disruption at Hassetts Cross. WATERFORD: A new traffic-flow system has been introduced at Rice Bridge. Temporary lights on the N25.
Meath: The R125 (Kilmoone-Drogheda road) is closed at Duleek. There is a detour via the N2. Disruption on the Duleek-Kilmoone road at Crossmacoole Cemetery and the Bowlies. Also in Clonee.
Westmeath: Roadworks at the Canal Bridge at the junction of the N4 (Dublin road) and the N52.
Kildare: Shaw Bridge, Kilcock, is closed to heavy vehicles. Those travelling via Kilcock to Clane and Naas are advised to go via Maynooth and Barberstown Cross.
Roscommon: Diversion on the N4 (Dublin-Sligo road) over the Curlew Mountain. Traffic diverted north of Boyle.
Louth: Delays expected on the N25 between Reddypenny and Dundalk where single-lane traffic is in place.
Mayo: The N59 at Burrishoole Bridge is closed between Newport and Mulraney.
Road Deaths
So far this month 26 people have died on Irish roads. During the past week, eight people lost their lives.
According to Aer Lingus bookings are up by 23 per cent on last year for the bank holiday weekend with 118,00 people planning to travel in the next three days. Ryanair expects to fly 100,000 passengers over the weekend and says it will put on extra flights to cater for demand.
