In Dublin, roadworks continue on Charlemont Street, where there will be severe delays during morning rush-hour. Drivers should avoid the area.

Delays are likely in off-peak times close to the Ballymount Interchange on the M50. The existing single lane set up southbound approaching Firhouse will be extended closer to the interchange.

On the Finglas Road, work will continue on the Quality Bus Corridor from Hart's Corner to Finglas between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. each weekday. Gas works on Anglesea Road, which started on Wednesday, will continue for six weeks between Simmonscourt Road and Merrion Road. Clonliffe Road will have a single lane at the same times from Monday to Saturday, while Clonliffe Avenue is closed until early July.

On the proposed Southern Cross Motorway route Kellystown Road in Rathfarnham will not now close for the construction of a motorway bridge as had been planned. In Rathfarnham, Stocking Lane will be closed until December to facilitate the motorway's construction.

Major cabling work continues in Blackrock, while work in Sandymount village will cause traffic delays at various times. Aston Place from Fleet Street to Aston Quay is closed for another week.

Serious delays will continue in Kilcullen, Co Kildare, where construction of a new sewerage system will disrupt traffic on Main Street. Though the N7 between Kildare and Monasterevin is now open again, the road is much narrower and extreme caution is advised. The road between Carlow and Bunclody has now reopened in Kildavin on the border between Carlow and Wexford.

Resurfacing works on the Cork side of Abbeyleix, Co Laois, are causing delays.

Munster

In Cork city, ESAT Telecom works on Mardyke Walk and Dyke Parade which began on Tuesday will continue for another two weeks, while gas works on the South Mall continue until the end of the month. Delays are also likely on Boreenmanna Road East, where pipes will be laid between Beech House and Glencoo as part of the Cork Main Drainage Scheme.

Connacht/Ulster

Drivers on the N15 are urged to exercise extreme caution just north of Donegal Town where work continues on the by-pass until July.

On the Sligo-Dublin rail line, between mid-morning on Monday and Friday afternoon, all services will depart Sligo and intermediate stations to Mullingar 20 minutes earlier than in the timetable to ensure the arrival time in Dublin is maintained. There will be bus transfers between Longford and Mullingar.

All services from Dublin during these times will be subject to a delay of up to 20 minutes for passengers travelling to stations between Edgeworthstown and Sligo due to the bus transfers.
