In Dublin, severe delays can be expected in the Blackrock area due to the laying of fibreoptic cable. The work will take place from 10 a.m. until and 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 10.30 p.m. on Stradbrook Road and Abbey Road, and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Frascati Road, Temple Road and Main Street.

Restrictions continue on Clonliffe Road, with traffic reduced to one lane between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Dunville Avenue, Ranelagh, will be closed from Belgrave to Beechwood Road.

Belmount Avenue from Sandford Road to Donnybrook Road will be closed over the weekend. The main Howth coast road will be disrupted on Sunday between 11 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. due to a charity walk.

The Milk Ras starts tomorrow from the GPO at noon and will head for the Naas Road via South Quays, John's Road and Inchicore.

Due to road resurfacing in Kilkenny City, the N77 (Castlecomer Road) from its junction with Ballybought Street to its junction with John Street (including the Hebron Road and junction at the Railway Station), and John Street Upper, from its junction with Maudlin Street to its junction with the N77, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Serious delays are expected in Kilcullen due to the construction of a sewerage system at Main Street.

Munster

Cork and Waterford will also be affected by the Ras which will arrive in New Ross at 3:10 p.m. tomorrow and will continue on the N25 to Waterford, where it is expected to arrive at Bannonstrand Street at 3.38 p.m.

On Sunday, the race will travel from Waterford at noon on the N24 to Clonmel, and from there on the R665 to Clogheen, the R668 to Lismore and on to Fermoy. The race is due to arrive in Charleville at 3.28 p.m. and finish on Main Street.

In Cork, Moore Street and Beasley Street will be closed today until 4.30 p.m. for gas works while duct-laying is under way at Mardyke Walk and Dyke Parade for the next three weeks
