The Department of Agriculture is recommending to motorists that journeys to Northern Ireland or Britain should be postponed unless absolutely necessary due to foot-andmouth precautions. Motorists should also avoid travelling to farms or large sporting gatherings.
DUBLIN
Baldonnell Lane is closed until Monday, March 19th for roadworks. Terenure Place will be closed at the junctions with Terenure Road West, Templeogue Road and Terenure Road North and Terenure Road East at the junction with Terenure Road North on Saturday and Sunday.
Kettle's Lane, Swords, is closed from the Swords Road Bypass (N1) and Drynam Road until February 18th next year.
Hillcrest Road is closed between Leopardstown Road and Blackglen Road. Steevens Lane is closed until November 4th.
Until September 14th, parts of the Seatown Road and Estuary Road in Swords will be closed.
CARLOW
Roadworks and temporary lights are in place on the N9, four miles south of Carlow at Louglinbridge, between Orchard and Milford Cross. Southbound traffic heading to Kilkenny should divert via Athy and Castlecomer.
WICKLOW
Roadworks will be ongoing on the N11 around the Glen of the Downs. Two-way traffic will be maintained.
CORK
Merchant's Quay has been reduced to two lanes until April. There are road closures in the Old Killeagh Road area. The marina will be closed to all traffic until the end of July. Drawbridge Street is closed. Bachelor's Quay is closed between Devonshire Street West and Grattan Street until May.
There is no access to Kennedy Quay from Albert Quay. There is no access to Park Avenue from Blackrock Road until further notice. Monahan's Road remains closed between Victoria Road and Kennedy Park until the end of June. Anderson's Street (southern section) is closed until the end of June.
KERRY
Major roadworks are ongoing on the N21 Tralee/Limerick Road between Tralee and Castleisland. There are temporary traffic lights in place.
CLARE
Realignment works are in place on the R472 Newmarket-on-Fergus road.
WATERFORD
Summerhill to Cannon Street is closed.
LIMERICK
Clancy Strand is down to one lane until July. O'Callaghan Strand is closed to all traffic.
