Dublin
NTL will be laying ducts on Sean McDermott Street until April 24th. Luas roadworks and diversions continue this weekend on Wolfe Tone Quay around Heuston Bridge. Drain works are being carried out on Bachelors' Walk/Liffey Street.
Roadworks continue on Nutgrove Avenue in Rathfarnham. Traffic calming works continue at Mount Merrion. George's Street Lower, Dun Laoghaire, is closed from Convent Lane to Patrick Street. Quality bus corridor works continue at Drumcondra Road, between Hollybank Road and Griffith Avenue and at Swords Road from Griffith Avenue to Shantalla Road; also from Whitworth Road to Griffith Avenue and at Collins Avenue, Gracepark Road, Beaumont Road and Shantalla Road.
QBC works are also under way at Ballymun and at Finglas.
Cork
Roadworks are in place on Merchants Quay. Further traffic restrictions are in place on the Lower Glanmire Road. ESB works are in operation on the Lee Road between Water Works and Thomas Davis Bridge. The hard shoulder on the southbound side of the Cork/Mallow road is closed south of Blarney Station bridge for about 500 metres.
Waterford
Roadworks continue in the Glen area. Work on the N25 Kilmacthomas realignment project continues from Garramillan to Newtown for an 8.5 km stretch. Roadworks continue on the Ring Road near the Ursuline convent.
Galway
Major traffic disruption is due on the Upper Salthill Road as part of the Knocknacarragh main drainage works. A second operation is in place on the Seapoint Promenade.
Kilkenny
Roadworks and temporary lights are in place on the N8 at Johnstown for the next two to three weeks. Expect delays on the Piltown bypass on the N24 between Waterford and Carrickon-Suir.
Carlow
Roadworks and temporary lights are in place on the N9, four miles south of Carlow at Loughlinbridge between Orchard and Milford Cross. Southbound traffic for Kilkenny should divert via Athy and Castlecomer.
Kerry
Major roadworks are onging on the N21 Tralee/Limerick road between Tralee and Castleisland.
Sligo
Roadworks on the Strandhill road at St Anne's church will be ongoing for the next two to three weeks.
Aer Rianta
Aer Rianta insists it is business as usual this weekend at Irish airports, despite the 24hour stoppage on Aer Lingus flights which began at midnight. All other flights will operate to schedule, a spokeswoman said.
Road Deaths
There have been six deaths on Irish roads this week, bringing the total to 103 so far this year.
