Dublin

Dublin

Capel Street Bridge will be closed each evening from 7.30 p.m. to 6.30 a.m. until Wednesday, July 25th. It will close from 7.30 p.m. on Fridays until noon on Saturdays. On Sundays it will close from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The lower end of the Snugboro Road in Blanchardstown will remain one way as far as the James Connolly Memorial Hospital until July 20th.

The 38 and 38A buses are diverting through the James Connolly Memorial Hospital, coming out at Blanchardstown village on the Mill Road.

The ongoing roadworks on the South Circular Road and Clanbrassil Street reduce traffic to one lane in both directions from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

The Davitt Road (Grand Canal) is closed to inbound traffic and will be one way out of town from Suir Bridge to Naas Road junction. Traffic will not be able to access the Grand Canal route from the Naas Road.

Inbound traffic from the M50 should go via the Lucan Road or divert via the Longmile Road from the Naas Road.

Laois

Roadworks and temporary lights will be in place on the N8 between Portlaoise and Abbeyleix until July 13th. The work be in operation on Saturday but not Sunday.

Louth

Roadworks are in operation on the N2 just north of Collon village until July 19th. The work will be in place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day.

Meath

Work has started on the R154 Trim-Dublin road at Tullaghmedan. A single-lane traffic system is in operation.

Cork

Diversions are in operation to inbound traffic off the Lower Glanmire Road between Tivoli and Water Street until 6 p.m. Sunday, September 2nd, for Cork main drainage works. There will be no access to Middle Glanmire Road from Colmcille Avenue for the duration of these works.

Lane restrictions are ongoing on Merchant's Quay between Parnell Place and St Patrick's Bridge for Cork main drainage works.

Limerick

Browne's Quay, New Road, Thomondgate and Cashel's Lane are closed until September 21st, for Limerick main drainage works. Only business and residential traffic will be permitted access.

Galway

Pipelaying works continue on the Caherwalter-Dublin road in Loughrea until July 13th. Long delays are expected.

Monaghan

Resurfacing works are underway on the N2, approximately one mile north of Carrickmacross. Delays may be experienced until July 9th at least. Traffic lights will be in operation.

Donegal

Roadworks continue on the N56 on the Mountcharles bypass. Expect delays of five to 10 minutes at the traffic lights at the eastern approach to Mountcharles. The bypass will be completed by September 2001.

Aer Rianta: More than 213,000 passengers are expected to pass through Dublin Airport this weekend. During this time 1,600 flights will take off and land, with more than 340 charter flights, mainly to sun destinations, added to the normal schedule. Iarnrod Eireann: On Saturday, to facilitate GAA fans, there will be extra trains from Sligo, Galway and Dundalk. On Sunday extra trains will run from Kilkenny, Waterford, Enniscorthy and Rosslare. Full details from local stations. Advance ticket purchase is advised.

Bus Eireann: no changes to scheduled weekend service.
