There are no major events scheduled for the weekend likely to affect traffic. However, traffic will be disrupted on a number of national routes by roadworks, including on the N8 at Cahir and at New Inn Village, on the N7 on the Nenagh side of Roscrea, on the N15 north of Grange and on the N5 between Ballaghaderreen and Carracastle.
DUBLIN:
Northbound and southbound traffic is subject to lane restrictions as roadworks continue on the N11 at the Wyattville junction.
The ESB will be carrying out major cable-laying works on South Circular Road (Harcourt Road) between Dolphin Avenue and Harrington Street.
Liffey Street Lower is closed at Middle Abbey Street to facilitate Luas works and Luas utility diversion works will be carried out until further notice on Church Street at Chancery Street.
Sean Heuston Bridge will remain closed until April 29th 2002 to facilitate works for Luas. Traffic will be diverted via Wolfe Tone Quay, Sarsfield Quay, Rory O'More Bridge and Victoria Quay.
OFFALY:
Pipeline work will be in place on the N62 through Ferbane until further notice. Traffic is being diverted via Tullamore southbound and long delays are expected.
CORK:
Disruption is likely on the N25 between Midleton and Castlemartyr for Bord Gβis works until October 26th.
KERRY: Roadworks are ongoing on the N22 between Ballycartey Cross and Farranfore. The works will continue until March 2002.
CLARE:
Roadworks will be in operation until at least the end of 2001 on the N18 at the new Dromoland interchange (Latoon Cross).
GALWAY:
Cross Street is closed from Middle Street to Bridge Street because of roadworks.
