Cardiff - Support for a Welsh Assembly is growing, according to a new opinion poll published today. The survey carried out by the Western Mail, shows that 42 per cent of people now back plans for devolution - up 3 per cent from the newspaper's last poll in June.
The poll shows that opposition is down 5 per cent to 22 per cent from two months ago. Over a third are still unsure, with 36 per cent saying they do not know how they will vote in the referendum on September 18th.
The newspaper says when "squeezed" to project the most likely intentions, the figures are "Yes" 48, "No" 26 and "Don't know" 25.
