An Orange Order march through a nationalist area of West Belfast will go-ahead as planned tomorrow following a failed attempt by residents to apply for a judicial review of a ruling by the Parade Commission allowing the Orangemen to take the contentious route.
The Parades Commission ruled on Monday to allow a limited Orange Order march on to the Springfield Road through the flashpoint Workman Avenue "peace line" gates.
Leave was sought by residents to apply for a judicial review but was turned down by Mr Justice Girvan this afternoon.
Chairman of the Springfield Road Residents Action Group Seán Murray said he was disappointed by the decision on the Whiterock parade and claimed that the commission had "given in to loyalist violence".
