A husband and wife have escaped injury in a suspected gun attack on their home in Co Wicklow.
The downstairs front window of the house in the Bank area of Rathnew was smashed in the incident late last night.
Gardaí are investigating reports of a gun attack in the area at around 11.30pm. No one was injured.
Elsewhere, a man has been taken to hospital in the North after being shot four times in a gun attack.
Three masked men, two armed with hand guns, forced their way into a property in north Belfast and opened fire.
The man, 40, sustained wounds to his elbow, ankle and both knees in the incident at Cranbrook Court shortly before 12.30am. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Police said there was no evidence of paramilitary involvement.
