For years the East African savannah has attracted Europeans eager to experience nature in the raw on safari. Safari Style, by Tim Beddow and Natasha Burns (Thames and Hudson, £24.95 in the UK), evokes the distinctive ambience of the homes, safari lodges and camps established across this vast area in more than 250 colour photographs. With an emphasis on relaxed living, and use of elemental texture and colours, the architecture and interior design revealed here is both flamboyant and casual.
