Danny Williams has landed his dream world heavyweight title shot at Ukrainian WBC champion Vitali Klitschko.
Williams's manager Frank Warren today announced that a deal has been reached for the pair to meet in America in December.
Williams gatecrashed the world title scene after his stunning knockout of Mike Tyson at the end of July.
He said: "This is my reward for beating Mike Tyson.
"After nearly 10 years as a professional I have finally got my chance at a world title and I am going there totally focused on bringing the crown back to Britain.
"Without a doubt Klitschko is the best in the division and it will be a hard fight but I destroyed the myth of Tyson and I will do the same again."
The date and venue for the contest are set to be announced next week, with Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York's Madison Square Garden in the running.
Williams is not now expected to meet Oleg Maskaev for the WBU title in London on October 9th, but could still appear on the ExCel bill in a warm-up contest.
The Brixton 31-year-old set his sights on Klitschko straight after pulling off one of boxing's greatest upsets with his fourth round win in Louisville.
The Ukrainian giant will make the first defence of the title he claimed against Corrie Sanders in April this year.
Klitschko, who had previously suffered a controversial cuts loss to Lennox Lewis, is regarded as the true champion in a fragmented division, and he insisted Williams deserved his title shot after shattering Tyson's comeback plans.
Klitschko said: "I am very happy that Danny Williams is my next opponent.
"It was always my dream to fight Mike Tyson but now Danny has destroyed that dream with a great performance and I know this will be a very tough fight for me.
"It's much easier to win a title than to defend it. I'm sure this will be a great and thrilling bout."
