Johannesburg - President Nelson Mandela said yesterday he doubted that a man who has accused his former wife, Ms Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, of murder would dare return to South Africa for a major public hearing into the case next week.
Mr Katiza Cebekhulu is a key witness at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's hearings into the activities of Ms Madikizela-Mandela's "Mandela United Football Club", her entourage in the 1980s when she was a figurehead for the anti-apartheid struggle.
In a new book, the former member of the club who has been living in hiding abroad says he saw her stabbing a teenage activist, Stompie Seipei, who was later found dead.
