A 24-year-old woman died early this morning when her car left the road at Garranacool, Ballingarry, Thurles in Co Tipperary and overturned.
Investigating gardaí believe the crash happened sometime between midnight and 7am this morning.
The road is closed pending the completion of an examination by garda forensic collision investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are asking any witnesses to the crash or any person who may have travelled on that road between midnight and 7am and saw a red Toyota Starlet to contact Thurles Garda Station on 0504 25100, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
