Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a 30 year-old man in west Belfast have arrested a 25 year-old woman.
The incident happened in the early hours of yesterday morning in the Summerhill area of the Twinbrook estate. Police were called to the scene shortly after 2.40am.
The dead man has been named as Kevin Doyle from west Belfast. It is understood he died after suffering a stab wound to the chest.
Police said a post mortem would be carried out today to determine the cause of death. He died in the Royal Victoria Hospital yesterday afternoon.
Detectives carried out forensic examinations around a house in Summerhill Drive. The PSNI has called on any witnesses to come forward.
Sinn Féin has condemned the murder. Police appealed for information from anybody who may have seen Mr Doyle in the hours before his death in the Summerhill area to come forward.
