A 59-YEAR-old woman has died following a collision in Kildare yesterday afternoon.
Gardaí in Athy are investigating the crash which happened at about 4.30pm on the Kilcullen to Athy road when the car the woman was driving collided with an SUV on the R418 at Youngstown.
The woman’s 16-year-old female front-seat passenger, the male driver of the SUV who was in his 30s and his female front-seat passenger in her 20s were also seriously injured. All four parties were taken to Naas General Hospital.

A 23-year-old man who was killed after being struck by a car shortly before 5am yesterday on the N4 at Clongowney near Mullingar has been named as Aaron Moore from Celbridge, Co Kildare.
A 69-year-old man who died while out walking on St Nessan’s Road in Dooradoyle at 7.45pm on Monday has been named as Michael Doran from Templemore, Co Tipperary.
