A woman was seriously sexually assaulted this morning in Belfast City centre, the PSNI said.
The attack took place in on Marcus Ward Street off the Dublin Road at around 4.30am.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
South Belfast Assembly member Carmel Hanna said the area was becoming notorious for such attacks.

“I condemn the serious sexual attack on a woman in the Dublin Road area this morning,” said the SDLP representative.
“While the circumstances are not yet known, it is clear that this woman has undergone an awful ordeal and I offer her my sympathy and support.
