A woman has been released on bail after she was charged over the fatal stabbing of her husband.
Dilorom Sulaymanov (35), a mother of two from Uzbekistan, was charged with assault causing serious harm to Abduazim Sulaymanov (39) at their home at Pinewood, Ballinlough Road, Cork on December 31st.
He died in a Cork hospital on Saturday.
She was arrested at her home yesterday morning and taken to Bridewell Garda Station for questioning before being charged last night.

Gardaí did not oppose bail of €2,000, and Mrs Sulaymanov is due to appear again at Cork District Court on January 24th. She was also granted legal aid.
