A fresh inquest into the death of a 29-year-old woman who died at Sligo General Hospital after she collapsed at a local factory heard evidence yesterday from a pathologist that she died from a rare abdominal haemorrage, almost impossible to detect. Mrs Caroline Leydon, Bal linafull, Co Sligo, died on January 30th 1996. She was in her 38th week of pregnancy at the time. The findings of a previous inquest were quashed by a judge in the High Court earlier this year following an action by Mrs Leydon's husband Leo, who cited a dispute between the county Sligo coroner, Dr Des Moran, and his solicitor, Mr Damian Tansey, as the reason to have a new inquiry into his wife's death.
