A woman was killed early this morning when her car crashed in Co Donegal.
The car left the road at around 2.15am at Meencarrigach, Ballybofey. Three children and a man in the car were injured. They are understood to be in a critical but stable condition in Letterkenny General Hospital.
There were no other vehicles involved, and the road has been closed for technical examination.
Elsewhere, gardai have located a man they wanted to question in relation to a hit-run in which a girl (18) was killed in Co Donegal over St Patrick's weekend.
Laura Hegarty died when she was struck by a car while walking home in Letterkenny on the morning of Sunday, March 18th.
Gardaí will question the local man in his early 20s and examine his car today.
Ms Hegarty was one of five people killed on Co Donegal roads over the St Patrick's holiday weekend.
Gardaí in Co Louth are seeking the driver of a stolen car involved in a crash on the Dundalk-Carlingford road shortly before 3am yesterday in which two people were killed. One of those killed was a passenger in the stolen car.
David Keenan (17) of Mountpleasant, Co Louth, who died at the scene, was the front-seat passenger in the stolen car, a silver Audi with Northern registration plates. The car was stolen in Newry just over a week ago and was fitted with false number plates.
The driver of the stolen car fled on foot.
George Campbell (64) of Jenkinstown, Co Louth, a married man with one daughter, was the driver of the other car.
