A woman (19) has died in a house fire in west Dublin.
The alarm was raised by neighbours shortly before midnight when the fire broke out at the house on Oranmore Road in Ballyfermot.
Another woman and three children under 10 were rescued. The children were brought to Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin, while the woman was taken to St James's Hospital.
All are said to be in a serious condition.
A neighbour and a garda were slightly injured during rescue attempts.
It is understood the fire broke out at the back of the house.
Three pumps, three ambulances and a Fire Brigade rescue tender support vehicle were sent to the scene. More than 25 firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control.
The house remains sealed off as Garda technical experts prepare to carry out an investigation to establish the cause of the fire.
