A female prisoner has been arrested after escaping from Mountjoy Prison in Dublin this morning.
Shortly before 10am two women prisoners escaped through a window which was being repaired and made their way onto a roof, a Prison Service spokeswoman said. They then jumped 25 feet and out of the facility.
One of the women was caught a short time later.
A 24-year-old woman was recaptured in Dublin city centre this afternoon. She is on remand awaiting trial and is not thought to be dangerous.
