A woman (22) was today remanded in custody in relation to the discovery of two pipe bombs in her Dublin home.
Laura Creighton, of Barry Park, Finglas, appeared before Dublin's District Court accused of possession of explosives, drugs, and a shotgun.
The woman was arrested on Friday night after a planned raid at the address, where she lives with her father.
She was officially charged yesterday afternoon at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
Garda Keith McGrath, of Finglas Drugs Unit, said when the accused was charged with possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply she replied: "Nothing to say."
Garda McGrath told the court when charged with possession of two pipe bombs she replied: "I didn't know what I had in the room." The court heard when charged with possession of a double-barrelled shotgun the accused said: "I didn't know it was there."
Judge William Early remanded the accused in custody with consent to bail. Bail was set on Miss Creighton's own bond of €300, with €100 to be lodged, and two independent sureties of €10,000 each, with €5,000 to be lodged.
Ms Creighton's solicitor argued that her client and her parents were all unemployed and the funds were well beyond their means, adding they could only raise €3,000 cash. Dismissing the application, Judge Early ordered Miss Creighton to return to the court on January 28th. Legal aid was granted.
