An action by a woman who claimed she suffered extreme pain after treatment at Dublin Dental Hospital in 1989 has been settled at the High Court.
Mrs Brenda Harte (49), Ferrycarrig Road, Coolock, Dublin, sued the hospital, of Lincoln Place, Dublin, for alleged negligence following treatment in May 1989. The defence denied the claim.
When the case was due to resume yesterday, Ms Mary Irvine SC, for the defence, told Mr Justice Kinlen that the action had been settled and could be struck out and that all allegations of negligence were withdrawn.
