A murder inquiry has been launched after the bodies of a woman and two young girls were discovered at a house in Britain, police said today.
Officers attended the house yesterday after an incident in which a man was injured in a road accident near Tong on the border between Shropshire and Staffordshire.
The woman and the girls were found at an address in Alton Avenue,
He said: "The circumstances surrounding what happened are unclear at this stage and inquiries are ongoing." The scene was sealed off while forensic examinations were carried out and police were conducting house-to-house inquiries. Post-mortem examinations were due to be held to establish the cause of death.
Willenhall , near Wolverhampton, at 7.35 p.m. A West Midlands Police spokesman said it was not clear what had happened but detectives were waiting to speak to the injured man, who was undergoing hospital treatment.
