Two women were arrested today in connection with the murder of a Scotsman who was assaulted and thrown under the wheels of a car while visiting Northern Ireland earlier in the summer.
Three men have already been charged with the murder of Ronald Mackie (36) who was killed in Tobermore, Co Londonderry, at the end of July. A fourth man has been charged in connection with the murder.
Police said the women, aged 46 and 17, were suspected of withholding information about the murder of Mr Mackie, who lived near Stirling.
He had travelled to Northern Ireland to watch a Friday night band parade in Maghera and was attacked outside the Tobermore Football Club after he left its social club in the early hours of the Saturday morning.
