A 22-year-old man detained at Dungarvan Garda Station in relation to the same murder investigation has also been released, however, he was immediately re-arrested for an unrelated matter.

A garda spokeswoman said a file will be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to the matter.

The investigation surrounds the death of a 37-year-old British victim who has not been officially named by gardai.

Officers began a murder investigation after results of a post mortem examination indicated that he died of head injuries.

The victim had been living among a 200-strong community of New Age Travellers in the Coole Mountain area of Dunmanway.

The body was discovered on a Shanlaragh farm last week following a planned search.
