Elton - Village supporters of the British nanny Louise Woodward yesterday denied there had been a split in their ranks after the resignation of the appeal fund founder member Mrs Jean Jones.
Mrs Jones (51), who is recuperating at home following a major operation, cited health problems as her main reason for quitting. She said she had not seen any committee members or the Woodwards since she returned home. Woodward (19) was convicted of murdering Matthew Eappen, a conviction which was reduced to manslaughter.
