England boss Clive Woodward today named three uncapped players in a 37-man squad for next month's tour to New Zealand and Australia.

Wasps centre Stuart Abbott, Gloucester back row forward Andy Hazell and Wasps flanker Paul Volley have all been chosen.

Woodward has also found a place for Danny Grewcock, although the second-row's chances of playing the opening games against New Zealand Maori (June 9th) and New Zealand (June 14th) are slim.

Grewcock was sent off for punching Lawrence Dallaglio during Sunday's Parker Pen Challenge Cup final and faces a two-week ban, starting on June 1st, unless he lodges an appeal and wins it.

Martin Johnson will captain the squad, which sees a recall for Iain Balshaw following injury, while out-half Alex King, centre Jamie Noon and prop Mike Worsley also make the trip. onny Wilkinson has been appointed vice-captain.

Scotland coach Ian McGeechan has reshuffled his back line for tomorrow's encounter with the Barbarians at Murrayfield.

Chris Paterson switched from wing to make his first international start at stand-off, with Gregor Townsend moving to inside centre.

James McLaren, moves out from midfield to left wing in place of Paterson.

McGeechan said: "We don't have blinding pace behind the scrum, so we have to try to create something different".
