England boss Sir Clive Woodward has recalled Matt Dawson and made two other changes to his team for next Saturday's 6 Nations Championship clash with Ireland at Twickenham.
Scrum-half Dawson, lock Steve Borthwick and flanker Joe Worsley are all called into the side following the 35-13 victory over Scotland nine days ago.
Leicester flanker Neil Back, who was axed from Woodward's pre-tournament squad, returns on the bench, as does Gloucester James Simpson-Daniel, but there is no place in the 22 for world record cap holder Jason Leonard.
Bath prospects Matt Stevens will provide prop cover instead of Leonard. Dawson regains his place instead of Andy Gomarsall, and Worsley has recovered from a hamstring strain to take over from Chris Jones in the backrow, but Borthwick's promotion comes after injuries sustained over the weekend by Danny Grewcock and Simon Shaw.
The England team:
15-Iain Balshaw; 14-Josh Lewsey, 13-Jason Robinson, 12-Will Greenwood, 11-Ben Cohen; 10-Paul Grayson, 9-Matt Dawson; 8-Lawrence Dallaglio (captain), 7-Richard Hill, 6-Joe Worsley, 5-Ben Kay, 4-Steve Borthwick, 3-Phil Vickery, 2-Steve Thompson, 1-Trevor Woodman
Replacements: 16-Mark Regan, 17-Matt Stevens, 18-Chris Jones, 19-Neil Back, 20-Andy Gomarsall, 21-Olly Barkley, 22-James Simpson-Daniel
