England coach Clive Woodward has reportedly joined the criticism of the Lions' management team following their series defeat in Australia.
A British daily newspaper also reported Woodward had criticised players Matt Dawson and Austin Healey for their controversial comments during the tour, which ended after the 29-23 defeat by Australia in Sydney on Saturday.
Quoted in an e-mail that the Daily Mailsaid Woodward had sent to rugby agents and the management board of England's Rugby Football Union (RFU), the England coach said: "The highest standards have not been put forward by the Lions management from the start of this trip. They have not set the right example themselves."
"It is totally wrong for Graham Henry to be writing a book."
Woodward said he would have taken stiff action against Dawson and Healey, who are both England players.
In a newspaper diary Dawson criticised the training methods of the Lions management before the first test, which the Lions won. Healey, also writing a column in a British newspaper, made a string of derogatory remarks about Australia and their players.
"If Matt or Austin had done this in the England set-up they could only expect one result," Woodward said, describing Healey's comments as "staggering".
"However, if you do not set high standards at the top in this area, how can you expect the players to follow? The coach must also use the same rules and not discuss matters that should remain within the team."
