A Yemeni government official says clashes between troops and Shia rebels have resumed in the aftermath of a bombing near a mosque that killed 18 worshippers.
The official says three soldiers and four rebels have been killed in the clashes in Yemen's remote mountain province of Saada near the Saudi Arabian border.
The clashes overnight follow yesterday's attack near a mosque in Saada when a bomb rigged motorcycle blew up amid a crowd.
Thousands of people have been killed in the area since a Shia Muslim rebellion erupted in June 2004.
