A musician who raised cash for needy Irish people in England is to have an award named after him. A postal worker, Mr Joseph Lennon, of north London, who died aged 73 last year, played for charity dances for more than 40 years after moving to England to join the RAF in the 1940s.
Comhaltas Ceolteoiri Eireann in Borrisoleigh, Co Tipperary, is setting up the Joe Lennon Young Musicians Award at a concert next month.
