MOSCOW - A Russian polling group said yesterday that the Communist candidate, Mr Gennady Zyuganov, could win almost half the votes in June's presidential election, painting a bleak picture of President Yeltsin's chances. The forecast by the independent Institute of the Sociology of Parliamentarism (ISP) is that Mr Zyuganov would win 38 to 47 per cent of votes with President Yeltsin getting only 16 to 20 per cent.
