The opening sentence of the letter headed "Teachers' pay dispute" in yesterday's editions, which was altered in the editing process, should have read "Sean Flynn's article (May 18th) might give one the impression that the dispute, which seriously disrupted the last school year, has ended".

Points for 150 degree courses increased this year, while those for 186 showed a decrease on last year. The figures were reversed in yesterday's Options 2001 supplement on page 2.
