Paul O’Brien of KPMG chartered accountants was appointed chief executive of Quinn Group Ltd by the board of the company. The receiver of the company had no role in Mr O’Brien’s appointment.
An article in last Monday’s edition, concerning a demonstration in Dublin, said that it was calling for civil partnership equality; it should have said civil marriage equality. Anna MacCarthy, at the demonstration, said that “the non-biological parent in a civil partnership is a legal stranger to the child”.
