Sir, – In response to Colin Walsh’s letter (July 11th) showing the fault in Boris Johnson’s description of the Tory political system as Darwinian, the example that the British Victorian naturalist used to develop his theory of natural selection was finches.
So perhaps Mr Johnson was referring to his colleagues as bird brains? – Yours, etc,
