Sir, – Further to “AIB to pull cash services from 70 more branches amid shift to digital banking” (Business, July 19th), the legendary American bank robber Willie Sutton supposedly replied to a reporter’s question as to why he robbed banks by simply saying, “Because that’s where the money is”.
Many of AIB’s loyal, honest and hard-working customers will be surprised and disappointed to discover this is not the case. – Yours, etc,
