Sir, – I, like many in this country, suffer from a progressive neurological condition which limits my mobility and results in increasing levels of disability over time.
Recent correspondence from my neurologist, confirming my upcoming appointment in their first-floor consulting rooms, includes the following: “Please note that there is no lift to the first floor and no wheelchair access”.
I cannot imagine a more stark and disappointing sign of the state of our health service. – Yours, etc,
