A chara, – How embarrassing it is that Ireland, an independent state, must rely on the troops and assets of two other independent states to rescue its citizens from war-torn Sudan. Why? Because Ireland is militarily neutral? Or perhaps it is because Ireland does not “do defence”.
Ireland leaves that to others, despite having one of the highest GDP numbers in the world.
