Sir, – Not long after reading Michael Pegum’s letter last Saturday (June 24th), I wandered through a large motoring and cycling store in search of a tyre for my trusty two-wheeler.
As I passed through the section where electric scooters were displayed, it was impossible to miss a large notice advising that the machines are not permitted on public highways but are for use only on private property. Perhaps they would be so good as to share their information with those charged with the maintenance of safety in our public spaces? – Yours, etc,
