Sir, – What a very refreshing article by Sarah Moss regarding her love of knitting (“Why do I knit? I’m not patient, knitting helps me to wait, takes the edge off agitation”, Life & Style, September 6th). I would love to be able to knit well but, unfortunately, I am simply a plain and purl person!
However, I did manage a plain and purl blanket for each of my eight grandchildren before their births.
They are amateurish efforts but there is love in every stitch and they are still treasured by the children! – Yours, etc,
