Sir, – The Convenience and Newsagents Association of Ireland are not alone in having problems with the Deposit Return Scheme (Letters, January 24th).
As someone who, of necessity, must do my shopping online, is there any arrangement for online shoppers?
Obviously a “deposit” charge can be made, but how can an online shopper with a disability, who is unable to get to one of the 2,000 shops equipped with the magic machines, get a “return”?
The Minister says that the only people who will pay more are those who will not bring back the bottles. No thought for those who cannot! – Yours, etc,
