A chara, – I must take issue with David Curran who claims to use Knock Airport and yet appears oblivious to the ongoing developments and improvements there in recent years (Letters, November 4th).
It now boasts the third-longest runway in the country, having contributed €2.8 million from its development fund in 2019 toward its improvement. The expansion and enhancement of the departure lounge and restaurant in recent years are simply excellent, and combined with the friendliness of the staff, make travelling through this airport a real pleasure.
I, for one, am delighted to contribute €10 during each visit toward the continuing development of the airport, especially when I can witness and enjoy the ongoing development, which is certainly well beyond the “planning stage”. – Is mise,
